Basics and Beyond

  • Whether you are brand new to knitting or crochet or would like to learn new skills and techniques this class is perfect for you!  In a knowledgeable and supportive environment we will meet you where you are on your fiber journey to help you achieve your goals. Ages 16 and up.

Learn to Knit

  • Learn all the basic skills of knitting in a fun and supportive environment. In this 4 week class you will learn how to knit, purl, cast on, cast off, and how to increase and decrease. The class fee includes a skein of yarn and needles.

Learn to Crochet

  • Have fun learning to crochet while creating a cute granny square coaster. In a welcoming and supportive environment, you will learn all the basic crocheting skills and techniques needed to create almost any project. The class fee includes a skein of yarn and a crochet hook.

Beginning Stranded Colorwork

  • Let's demystify stranded colorwork knitting! We will create a small cowl to explore the many aspects of stranded colorwork knitting. Holding one yarn color in each hand will be a focus in class; however, other options for yarn management will be included as well. There will be ample time to experiment with different stranding techniques to discover what works best for you. With a little patience and practice, you will be well on your way to creating stunning colorwork pieces!

    Skill Requirements – Solid comfort with knitting in the round.

Knit Fix

  • Every knitter makes mistakes from time to time. In this class you will learn to identify, avoid, and x common knitting errors. We will even make knitting errors on our swatches on purpose! With a bit of practice you will feel empowered to take charge of your knitting and gain the confidence to handle many common mishaps when they arise.

    Skill Requirements: Solid comfort with creating a knit stitch and a purl stitch

Ladderback Jacquard

  • Class Description: Long floats in stranded colorwork can be a knitter’s nemesis! The Ladderback Jacquard (LBJ) technique is often a game changer to manage long floats invisibly and with even tension. In this class, you will learn how to incorporate the LBJ technique into any stranded colorwork project. We will cover where and how to create a LBJ stitch when floats get long, and then how to remove this stitch when it’s no longer needed. Voila – your colorwork may have never looked so tidy!

    Skill Requirements: Solid comfort with stranded colorwork in the round, and reading colorwork charts.

Simple Sweater

  • Class Description Are you ready for sweater knitting? This class will take you step-by-step from planning to completion of a top down sweater with a yoke construction - a very functional and basic design with clean lines. It’s perfect for a first sweater project, and a staple in anyone’s wardrobe. We will use the well-designed and easy to follow “Simple Sweater” pattern by Tin Can Knits as a guide for this class. This pattern offers a range of sizes from newborn to adult sizes.

    Skill Requirements: This is an advanced beginner class. Students should be comfortable with knitting and purling in the round.

Stranded Colorwork Mittens

  • Join us for a cozy and colorful class where you'll learn how to knit stranded colorwork mittens—perfect for chilly days and thoughtful gifts. We will knit the Frost Mittens by Inger Berg, based on a traditional Norwegian pattern tension. This is a perfect class to refine your colorwork skills to include small circumference knitting, learning paired increases and decreases, and tensioning.

CocoKnits Sweater Workshop

  • We will delve into the innovative Cocoknits method to create a seamless, tailored sweater with set in sleeves. These designs are known for their clean lines, well-fitting silhouettes, and thoughtful English tailoring that flatters a range of body types. In this class, you will focus on either the Emma sweater (Version A, B, or C) or the Molly sweater. The Cocoknits Worksheet will keep organized and confident while knitting the various components of our projects.

    Skill Requirements: Solid comfort knitting and purling flat and in the round. Some experience with sweater knitting.

Crochet Pumpkins!

  • Learn how to crochet cute pumpkins for your fall decor.  This adorable pumpkin is worked flat, and is easily scaled up in size, or adjusted for shape.

Strange Brew Colorwork Sweater Design

  • Are your sites set on the milestone of a stranded colorwork sweater in your knitting journey? This class will take you step-by-step from planning to completion of your first stranded colorwork sweater. We will use the brilliant “Strange Brew” book by Tin Can Knits as a guide for this class. They have done the design work and (lots of) math to create easy-to-follow patterns and templates. We get to add our imagination! This tends to be a flexible class with tons of inspiration, fun, and camaraderie along the way. The focus of this class will be knitting a top down, seamless colorwork sweater in the size of your choice (newborn to adult). You can choose one of the patterns already in the book, or create your own motifs.

    Skill Requirements ● This is an intermediate class. ● Students should be comfortable with knitting and purling in the round, basic increases. Basic experience with stranded colorwork knitting is recommended. Some working knowledge about sweater construction will be helpful. ● There will be a chance to briefly review stranded colorwork techniques (eg. managing colors, tension, color dominance) in the first class, and practice in your swatch. ● Brand new to stranded colorwork? The “Beginning Stranded Colorwork” class is a great way to develop your technique without the commitment of a full garment.

Rufflepus- Beginning Amigurumi

  • Join Heather in this fun introduction to the adorable world of Amigurumi! 

    Over three class sessions, you will work on creating your own "Rufflepus", a cute, approachable design created to help beginners learn the foundational skills needed for success. 

    Stuffing, a set of safety eyes, and stitch markers will be provided. Please come to class with two yarn colors of the same weight, and a crochet hook one size smaller than recommended for the yarn. I recommend a DK or heavier weight.

    This class is designed for beginners, but you will have the most success if you familiarize yourself with working the single crochet stitch

Custom Christmas Stocking

  • Create your own custom Christmas Stocking, an heirloom holiday staple that will bring joy to many for years to come! In this class 6 week class you will learn how to customize the name, design, and details to make a one of a kind stocking. You will also learn how to create the fanciful details of a picot hem and Latvian braid.

Intro to Sock Knitting with Magic Loop

  • In this class, we will step into the world of hand knitted socks! Learn the “Magic Loop” technique to create a top-down ribbed sock with a heel flap and gusset construction that ends with a star toe. We will use DK weight yarn to magnify our work , and allow us to move a bit more efficiently through learning techniques for socks. These are squishy, cozy socks to wear around the house or in your boots. Week 1: Stretchy cast on, setting up magic loop, start ribbing and leg Week 2: Heel flap, heel turn Week 3: Picking up gusset stitches, gusset decreases Week 4: Foot of sock, finishing toe

    Skill Requirements ● Solid comfort with knitting and purling in the round. Prior knowledge of the magic loop technique for knitting in the round is not required.

Knit A Hat

  • Have you caught the knitting bug? Are you ready to advance from knitting and purling flat to seamlessly working in the round? This class is a great next step. You will create a fun and cozy hat, as well as add some very useful knitting skills to your toolbox for future projects.

    Skill Requirements Solid skills in creating knit and purl stitches. Familiarity with basic knitting terms.
